X ‘Álava Emprende’, Europa Conference Centre, 20 November.

On 20 November, the City Council of Vitoria-Gasteiz and the Provincial Council of Álava held the X ‘Álava Emprende’ at the Europe Conference Centre.

‘Álava Emprende’ is held annually and seeks to boost the optimism and training necessary for citizens to launch ideas in the present for the construction of the future. This year it aims to call people to action to face the current economic situation as a key opportunity, taking entrepreneurship to be the real way forward and the new green economy as a niche in the market in which to develop and grow.

The closing lecture ‘Innovating in Medicine’, was given by Eduardo Anitua, scientific director at BTI Biotechnology Institute, while the Provincial Councillor of Economic Stimulation and Provincial Administration, José Zurita, closed the conference.

Cosmetic Dentistry Magazine publishes an interview with Dr Eduardo Anitua about a new biological approach to implantology. Amongst other topics, Dr. Anitua explains how BTI solutions are able to offer specific, customised solutions to any situation in the treatment of atrophic maxilla without having to resort to much more-invasive and less-predictable surgery techniques, regardless of whether the resorption is transverse or vertical.

DentalXP Global Symposium

BTI Biotechnology Institute has participated in the first DentalXP Global Symposium, an international event organised by DentalXP, one of the main online dental training platforms. During the conference, which took place in Las Vegas in February, the latest advances in regeneration, bioengineering, aesthetics and digital technology were presented.

The scientific programme had top-level speakers including Eduardo Anitua, founder and scientific director of BTI, whose presentations dealt with the potential and benefits of applying PRGF®-Endoret® technology to dental medicine.
